We are a small, fast-paced rapidly expanding CPA firm in downtown Round Rock, Texas seeking a Tax Accountant to join our growing team. Competitive salary, benefits and bonus program offered to the right candidate.

Ideal Candidate

Candidate will use their knowledge and accounting experience to recognize and resolve client issues. This candidate should be detail oriented, be able to multi-task and take full ownership of their work.

Qualified candidates will:

• prepare a wide-array of tax returns including individual, trust, partnership, gift, corporate and non-profit.
• assist in attest engagements including compilations and reviews of non-profit and for-profit organizations as well as audits of non-profit organizations.
• analyze and adjust client’s financial statements as needed for tax preparation.
• handle client questions on a daily basis through email, phone calls and face-to-face communication.
• perform QuickBooks training and consulting for clients.
• research various tax issues as requested.
• assist clients with year-end review and tax planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field
• Licensed CPA or CPA candidate
• Two to three years in a public accounting position preparing tax returns
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word, and Tax software, preferably Pro-Series
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
