The WIC Program Nutritionist functions as a team leader, performs the tasks of a "Competent Professional Authority" (CPA), which include assessment of WIC eligibility criteria, assessment and referral of clients to other agencies for medical/social problems which need follow-up, conducts nutrition education classes, prepares nutrition education materials for participants who attend classes at the mobile sites, provides consultation for WIC participants with special dietary needs, conducts breastfeeding education, assumes responsibility for all food voucher issuance activities in assigned clinics. The WIC Nutritionist assumes responsibility for special tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of twenty four (24) hours nutrition education required.
One (1) year of experience in the area of nutrition education.
Previous WIC experience preferred but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Must possess a valid Class A driver's license and automobile insurance.
Licensure as an LD (Licensed Dietician) or RD (Registered Dietitian) preferred but not required.
